❝ #1, Trevor and his Niece and Nephew; His Legacy ❞

I think that before Trevor dies for whatever reason (the most obvious: being bitten), I think that he would have some good times with his sister's kids. Most of it would be in loving exasperation that he willingly complies to their wishes. This would include him letting them dress him up and get him ready for their "tea parties" or whatever. It'd be cute and they'd have something to remember their uncle. Yanno, even if Skyler always called him "weird" and didn't like him that much. He would still be a good uncle.

❝ #3, Farris versus Riley; the Aftermath; the Cure; the Coma. ❞

"Riley rebuilds the town into a super safe, almost modern place and the people have hope that they can withstand and outlast the infection... He is really close to finding a cure... like days away and then freaking Farris shoots him. So I can see Riley (having a fear this might happen) having a letter pre written to Lukas telling him about his work with the cure and explaining how to keep the machines saving the town running and at the end it'd have a sad confession about how he felt about Lukas."

Rather than completely killing Riley, well, he's either dead or he's not, so: instead of killing Riley, I should say... Maybe he should go into a coma that prevents him from dying, but he's still not functioning. He's in this sleep, and he's awake and dreaming at the same time. So, he's trapped inside of his head. He's on the verge of death, but something isn't letting him go, so he stays in that coma, waiting. He talks with his conscious: is he done with his work on Earth?; is he fit to leave?; is it alright to leave?; are they worth going back to? All those questions are prosed.

During that time, Lukas would have to deal with completing the cure. He'd have to keep the generators running, and maybe even teach a few other responsible people that are relative good with technical things while he does his duties to the community. In his free time, he visits Riley in the hospital and talks to him about what he's dealing with while he's "away" or "on holiday." He'll joke about how this is how Riley gets his first break from being an adult and taking care of things as "mayor." He'd talk about how he's waiting for him to come back and that they still need him-- that Lukas still needs him.

Riley finishes his debate with himself. In the case of him deciding to stay, his consciousness is pushed back to his body and he wakes up from his coma. He's unable to really do too much with his wound being his set back for a while, but it obviously doesn't stop him from getting back to doing things. During this time, they complete the cure together, and when Riley is better, he starts to help Lukas administer the cure to victims in "the Gap."

❝ #4, Teddy Bears. ❞

When Lukas is first introduced to the community that Emery and Teegan built together, Riley is only four. To be nice, Riley gives his stuffed teddy-bear to Lukas as a home-warming gift. Years later, he forgets that he gave it as a gift due to his hermit-like nature, and looks for it. After Riley and Lukas meet for the second time (though they believe it's the first), Lukas later invites Riley in. Inside the home, he sees his bear propped up a shelf, though not dusty because it seems well-taken care of. Affronted, Riley says, "What're you doing with my stuffed bear? I thought I lost this forever ago!" Lukas looks at him, bemused, and explains that when he first arrived, a child gave it to him. They put two and two together, and so the red string of fate reveals itself! Insert applause and good intentions and inconspicuous cuddling.

❝ #5, Inconspicuous Cuddling Scenarios ❞

★ Jokingly, Lukas could say, "Since you took my bear, I'll have to find something else to cuddle."
★ It's a cold rainy day, and Riley and Lukas have to share a small umbrella. Catch my drift?
★ Lukas has needy moments once in a while, too. No one would notice if he just silently slips
★ into Riley's home where he's working. Nor will they notice when he towers above him to
★ see his work or when he puts a quiet arm around him from behind, resting his chin on his head.

❝ #6, Their Return ❞

Riley decides their current location is too vulnerable and moves closer to electricity and water sources. After a few years of getting several civilization camps well-started, Emery and Teegan return to Emery's birthplace, but it's empty. It takes them longer to find Riley because of this and when they finally reach him, it's the same night that Farris shoots Riley. Since they look different than they used to, they have to sneak around the fortified community in order to find Riley. When they find him in the hospital, Lukas is out; Riley still thinks he's in his coma when he sees them, coming to the conclusion that they're ghosts or zombies. He freaks and almost severs one of their arteries, but they are able to cam him down. Spooked because Lukas comes in with back-up, feeling Farris could come back to finish Riley off, the two hide away. Now that Riley is awake again and definitely alive, Lukas is overcome with emotion and almost breaks his neck when tripping as he tries to get over to his bedridden babe. After reading Riley's goodbye note, he decides it would be alright to kiss Riley. After some blushing and such, Riley, quiet again, blurts an excited whisper, "Lukas, holy shit... I saw them!" Since he just woke up from his coma, Lukas calms him down a little, asks him to rest, feeling he might be a little feverish.

❝ #7, Grandmere Aubuchaun ❞

When Riley is a child, Teegan's mother is moved to the community's safety. Unfortunately, she suffers from a premature diagnosis of Alzheimer's and has trouble remembering things; however, she is able to remember her family. After Emery and Teegan's departure, Riley stops visiting his grandmother since his parents are the ones who took him to visit her. Since he is young, he eventually forgets about his grandmother and their visits. One day, while both outside in the same proximity (near the Senior Center), Grandmere babbles about him in her thick French accent. Since her caretaker hasn't seen any of her visitors in years, she assumes that it is just her sickness plaguing her mind. A conversation would probably go similar to this:

G: "Oh, he's so much like his parents in so many ways..."
C: "Ma'am, I'm sure you're thinking about someone else..."
G: "Nonsense, I know my son. I would never forget my son or his child."

❝ #8, Merry Go Round ❞

Here's a cute scenario: Riley and Lukas go scouting and find an old theme park or mall with the kids' rides. Riley's been a few times on his own so he leads them through the darkness to the electrical room where he tells Lukas to flick the circuit breaker. Lukas thinks Riley's full of it and that all remaining electricity is gone, but Riley says to do it, so Lukas reluctantly complies. Then the lights turn on and when they enter the mall proper or park. He sees it all light up at night. Riley (if they're at a theme park) suggests they go ride a ride like the bumper cars or Merry go round or something. So they goof off and go find a photo booth and take silly pictures.

They almost have a close call with some uninvited guests, but they get back home and part ways. After that trip, Riley gets the idea to move the camp closer to that park or mall and they build it into this insanely fortified fortress.

Lukas starts to get stronger emotional attachments to Riley after their trip there and he has the photo strip to remember it. The crush grows. When Riley is in his coma a few months or years after their trip that Lukas keeps the photo strip with him and looks at it often as reassurance and to keep the memories closer to him.

❝ #9, Captive ❞

And now there's someone stalking Riley. Well, has been for a long time now. He knows the colony well and understands the disadvantages set against them. He's always wanted a son and sees how the people there treat Riley. After Riley is shot and has his confrontation with Emery and Teegan where he tells them they've been crappy parents, he goes for a walk to clear his head because he's so angry and disgruntled by all the facts. After all the years of watching, "the Man" kidnaps Riley and brings him to his protected area. He tells Riley that he's his real father and that Teegan and Emery stole him towards the beginning of the "hellish nightmare we've been living in." He has a striking resemblance to Riley, as well, which definitely is cause for pulling the wool over Riley's eyes. Everyone at this particular camp treats Riley well and accepts him unlike the colony he grew up in. Inside the mind of "the Man," we know that if Riley ever tried to leave, that he'd kill him because he doesn't want anyone to have his 'son.'

The night of Riley's disappearance, Lukas goes to find him in the middle of the night after a nightmare (because he's started to have lots of them after Riley being shot and in a coma). He's really worried during this time and so would often go and check up on him and make sure Riley isn't overexerting himself. When he finds that Ri is gone, Lukas goes on the hunt for him. He carefully analyzes clues, and decides on three different colonies and going to them-- on the third try, he finds Riley, but it's almost impossible to retrieve him. This is where hands get dirty, and 'the Man' tortures Lukas to make him think twice about taking Riley back. Lukas sneaks out with Riley after some debate where Riley admits with hesitation, "But these people accept me..." During the time he is deliberating, Lukas would talk about all the things Riley has accomplished there and that it wasn't possible for it to go on without him, but before any decision can be made, they're caught in a snare. 'The Man' catches them and there is only one choice: fight, or no flight, therefore possible death. Lukas, to protect, Riley, must use acts of violence-- something that he absolutely resents. Blood is shed, but no one dies. Back-up comes. The reason that 'the Man' doesn't kill Riley is because when he finds Lukas being tortured once more, he intervenes with, "D-Don't hurt him!" -- He says it's his fault that Lukas showed up and he should be punished instead.

❝ #10, the Breakdown ❞

After Farris finds some false "evidence" to persuade Riley that his parents are dead, Riley goes into utter shock as it's the only thing that's really keeping him going. He tries to end his miserable existence by choking down some pills, but he gags them back up, leaving him to crumple up into a teary mess on the floor. He eventually locks himself away, pulling back into the shell he was just starting to crawl out of. He'd lock his doors to Lukas; the library would be off-limits to him, and he wouldn't even be able to have staring contents with Oliver the cat.

After finding out that it was Farris that caused this, it would ultimately provoke Lukas and he would snap. He'd go into this moment of completely blind rage, seeking out Farris. When he gets his hands on him, he's so utterly overwhelmed with all this anger (from just stuff he's pent up and the fact that his baby has become a recluse all over again because of him. He'd be furious with him for that, for making him lose, pretty much, the only person he's ever had a close bond with romantically. Not only that, but also the fact that Farris' has brought back an even worse Hell to someone that's been tortured by demons like such his whole life. So, taking out all this rage on Farris mentally, he doesn't even realize he's been physically bludgeoning him with his fists. This is the point where he shocks himself and basically goes into hiding for a while. (Corner of shame.) He's broken, but not beyond repair.

Lukas eventually gets back to his normal routine, unfortunately his nerves are fried. He can't go a couple of hours without smoking, regardless of the time. Sleepless nights. Lots of pacing and doing things to keep himself busy. He can't really read or do much research because his emotions are haywire and he's worried sick about Riley. However, Riley sneaks out one night to do some scouting at the mall ( mentioned in #8 ), and when he comes back, Lukas sees him while he's presumably smoking outside. Lukas jumps over the railing and goes after him, super harried and frenzied. "Are you okay?! God, I've been so worried about you, Riley... I'm so sorry about what happened, but p-please don't shut me out. I can't do anything anymore, I'm a mess... I need you..." Riley tries to brush him off and get out of there, but Lukas stops him. He stoops down a bit to look him in the eyes, his own are teary, then pulls him into a hug. "I miss our afternoons together. I even miss that darn cat, for Pete's sake..."

They start to get close again after the ordeal. Insert Merry Go Round installment. They begin to build up the new town, and Riley is unsure about whether he likes Lukas or not and is confused with his feelings. He gets the "annoying nervous feeling" around him. The building is going well, everyone is warming up to Riley, et cetera, but that's what gets Farris extremely ticked. Everyone's attention is on Riley, and they're suddenly so appreciative of all his hard work. ( Insert #3 installment ). Now that Lukas is looking after Riley, the cat really isn't thrilled. Hurrah!

❝ #11, Doctor's Orders ❞

After Lukas and Riley become more acquainted, the young doctor starts to hang out more and more. Eventually, it gets to the point where he begins to stay over rather late on some nights. Riley is nice enough one night to let Lukas stay over since it was after curfew and dark outside. The younger of the two shows him the bedroom and goes back to working. After working for a long time, he forgets about Lukas' presence (whom is probably reading or studying something). Lukas goes to check up on Riley and can't help but to take a moment to appreciate how cute "Ri-Ri" is when he's not awake and tsundere. Because of this, Lukas will sometimes stay over late on purpose to have those glimpses of Riley.

One of these scenarios could be similar to the following... Riley is dosing off at his work space and a wiry grin spreads over Lukas' face as he moves over and whispers, "time for bed." Riley's sluggish reply is, "Nu uh you can't make me," and Lukas smiles a bit before picking up Riley, stating, "Doctor's orders"

❝ #12, Adjusting ❞

After Riley gets shot, he's terrified of leaving his house because he comes to the conclusion that humans are more dangerous than zombies, but Lukas doesn't want him to revert back to being paranoid hermit so he takes him on trips to the Gap and makes him go out and interact so his progress isn't for nothing. When they're out in public, Lukas is never far away--an arm's length at most--so he can grab Riley ifthings become dangerous. During the while they're outside, Lukas would squeeze Riley's hand and say, "You're doing great, miláčku," as Riley does his best not to crumble anytime he sees someone with a gun, and people in general. Lukas would whisper little compliments to Riley like, "you look cute today... Well, not that you don't always look cute, but today, especially," or something sweet like, "I love you so much," among reassuring things, as well. After the shooting accident, Lukas becomes the same as Teegan was to Emery. He's a bit weighted with guilt that he couldn't prevent the accident and to help his miláčku, so he's become sentimental and possibly more affectionate because he realizes he almost lost him for good with that shooting event. When they go out, Riley will sometimes push himself too hard, and Lukas gives him piggy back rides or carries him in his arms back to the house, despite Riley's obvious protests.

❝ #13, Mixed Feelings ❞

After Teegan and Emery leave Cassiopeia, Riley lives with Farris and Estelle
from a time period of a few months to a year. During this time, Farris becomes protective over Riley. The feelings start as a big-brother complex and later develop into a one-sided crush after he feels threatened that Sage and Luna might steal him away. Riley, being oblivious to Farris' feelings, and believed he was just treated the same way as Estelle.

As they grow up, Riley secludes himself at his former residence and becomes a hermit. Although Farris still has a crush on Riley, he shows it in an abusive form so no one has to think that he's soft and mushy. Because Riley is oblivious to those feelings, he thinks it's being done out of hate. When Lukas enters the situation and is kind to Riley, Farris' old feelings of protectiveness and jealousy hit him and in his mind, he thinks that "if [he] can't have Riley, no one can," and develops a evil plan to injure Riley. Possibly so that he could be the one to find the injured Riley and nurse him back to health. When the plan actually goes into action, however, he's horrified that he actually did it to someone he felt so strongly for outside of his own family. He panics and runs away.

❝ #14, Butts ❞

Riley leads an scavenger trip outside of the camp site and they're running low on supplies. Lukas volunteers to go since he rarely goes outside of the camp and he's stunned to see Riley out and "acting on behalf of the mayor" so that fuels his urge to want to go. So it's Sage, Lukas, Luna, and maybe Farris, Estelle, or KC. Lukas has to face his fear of touching butts.

They look around an old historic fort and there's a room they can only get in if someone small can get through the tiny crawl space and poor Riley is the only one short and skinny enough to fit. Sage is standing by the door waiting to go in should someone or something be in the room after Riley opens it and needs help which leave Lukas to have to help Riley into the crawl space. Things go horribly wrong in a rather funny way. Riley gets stuck and has to be pushed in from his behind. Lukas is faced with one of his biggest pet peeves and doesn't want to go through with it while Sage is indifferent: "Dude... it's just a butt, it won't bite you like a zombie might bite Ri if you don't help him..." Unfortunately, there is something in there and Riley was swearing worse than a sailor and using a screw driver to try and keep the thing at bay.

Luckily, Riley gets out and Sage and Lukas are impressed by how ruthless Riley was when getting rid of the zombie, but Riley's pissed that he got stuck: "I hate every single one of you in this room right now... especially that fucker," and stabs the already dead zombie one more time
because he's so irked. The rest of the trip Lukas keeps staring at Riley who had this paranoid feeling due to that. He turns around and asks incredulously, "Are you checking out my butt?" and Lukas' face gets so red, he tries to walk off instead of giving an answer... Except he nearly breaks his neck because he was so flustered and wasn't paying attention to where he was going. Riley snickered at his slip.

Riley had to help Lukas a lot since he kept getting distracted and Sage mentions in mock understanding, "bro, I get it; it's a nice looking butt, but, dude... Chill... " Just to mess with Lukas, he walks up to Riley and playfully smacked his butt which ended up with Sage getting shoved and Luna sighing in exasperation, "oh, boys..." Everything makes Lukas uneasy.

❝ #15, Head Trauma ❞

Remember how I said Em is in school for cinematography? Well, their house would be full of puppets and clay figures he's used on projects. Some of the bigger puppets that actors wear would be kept on site or in a storage room.

Anyways! So in this idea the apocalypse hasn't happened just yet and Riley would still be little. So I was thinking that Oliver was named after a cat or character that was in his monster TV show (yeah Em's idea gets picked up to be a TV series). One day little Riley doesn't have a sitter so he has to come with Em on set to the monster house show. Em gets busy being a director and that gives tiny tot Riley time to wonder around and get in trouble. He follows after the cat and sees all the giant puppets and people made up to look like monsters. It's absolutely terrifying to a really little kid. When Riley's trying to run away and hide from the actors maybe he gets hurt and due to where/how he got hurt it messed up the part of his brain that process reality vs fiction. So it's basically Riley is stuck in this nightmare-ish hell even away from the set where he sees monsters constantly.

He gets 'treatment' to help his "plagued" mind and bring him some sense of normality. He hates the medicine and thinks it's the monsters trying to poison him. Thought as a little kid he's forced to take the medicine. When he gets older and smarter he decides he doesn't need his medicine and when he comes off it he basically has hallucinations/visions of a zombie apocalypse after tv shows that he watched. The reason Em and Tee are "missing" is because they're gone to search for a doctor who can help Riley and they leave him with a friend of the family whose aware of Riley's delicate mind situation and could endure his episodes. But it gets to be too much and he's sent to a hospital where he meets a young doctor (Lu) who listens to his crazy stories and takes pity on him.

'Smarter' teens always think they're smart compared to their adult.
